Kathleen and I started The Yakking Show video channel and podcast in March 2020, right at the start of the “pandemic”: as the reaction to the coronavirus has been called. We were told by governments and supposed medical experts all over the world that the global lockdown was to “flatten the curve”. Because of that, we thought our show might bring a little light into the lives of people suddenly locked up in their houses.
We also thought The Yakking Show podcast could help our guests get exposure for their businesses, professional services or books. The show was launched with no great intention of it being a long term project. However, it has taken off better than we could have imagined. It has also been a huge amount of fun and helped us meet scores of interesting people.
Here’s a link to two of our earlier episodes in May 2020. We have made a few improvements since then. Yesterday we recorded our 63rd episode and we have many more guests booked for the next few weeks.
Two Amazing Podcast Guests
In early November 2020, our guests were Dr. Dina and Don Ortiz world travellers, speakers and authors. Two wonderful people who have an amazing story. A couple of stars who now help others through their workshops, their book, their speaking engagements and their Dina Preston Band.
Their book “31 cents to 43 Countries – Hardcore Tips To Increasing Profits” has tips and ideas gained from their experiences building a successful business and keeping a band on the road in 26 international tours.
The Yakking Show now has its own website where we have already embedded a number of past episodes. We will soon have all our episodes available on the site. Then, new ones will be embedded as soon as they are published.
