At last my book has arrived from the printers. It’s been a long journey from writing the original 420 page manuscript. Changing the genre, adapting parts of the original for the new, shorter book, writing new content, editing, more editing, proof reading, cover design, corrections and minor changes, final proof reading, paying the printer.
The finished books were shipped Friday, delivery promised for yesterday (Monday). Checking the courier tracking link at 5:30pm yesterday, I got a notification that delivery had been attempted at 12:15 pm. Sue, I and our usually super alert dog, Mike were home all day, didn’t hear a knock on the door.
The courier does not have a depot in our city, we drove 50 km to the depot in another city to collect them today.
The end of the first stage of publishing my first hard copy book, 2 years from start to finish. Now the interesting part, marketing, promoting and selling. Then back to work on the original book.
A huge thank you to Michael, Doug and Brendan at ArtBookBindery.com for their good service and Yvonne for her cover design. Good people to do business with.

I hope you enjoy it.
Fantastic, Peter, congratulations, I look forward to receiving my copy in the mail shortly.
Thank you for your order Philip, it’s in the mail today. Let me know what you think.
Peter,
I’ve just finished your book!
What an insightful view on life events. The book is definitely a revealing look into, as the title says, “adversity” and the personal challenges you have faced — and overcome.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and it definitely creates some thought provoking opportunities for introspection.
Well done. Thanks for writing it!
