A new month and time for a new topic. I won’t be writing about Halloween because I grew up on the other side of the world where it was not celebrated.
I do understand that North American children enjoy the costumes and trick or treating. I also appreciate that it provides a boost to retail sales, but I just do not get excited about it myself.
I had thought I had finished with the topic of focus, however as I was catching up with my newsletter reading over the weekend, I came across a post by James Clear and thought that it was so good that I should share it with you.
It is about the extraordinary perseverance of one writer, George R.R. Martin.
His long journey to success is fascinating in itself. As an example of the power of focus it shows what can be achieved when focus, consistency and patience are combined.
