The Movember movement is a cause that I support. It raises money for prostate cancer research by getting men to grow moustaches for the month of November, it is a good cause that has already raised over $52 million worldwide and over $20 million in Canada alone this year.
Prostate cancer will kill 4100 men in Canada this year. Please visit my Movember movement Woodstock Whiskers team site and make a donation if you have not yet done so. Every dollar helps, so give what you can. Who knows, you or someone you know might benefit from the research funded by these donations.
A few days ago, I got an email from Storwell Self Storage asking me to enter their Movember contest by submitting a picture of my moustache to their contest website. The team represented by the moustache with the most votes by 30 November will win a $500 donation to the cause from Storwell.
More details about the contest are on my Social Media Pete blog , so hop over there if you would like to learn more.
If you would like to enter your moustache in the contest, you need to belong to a Movember team. You can join my Woodstock Whiskers team here. If you do not want to enter your own moustache, then please vote for mine here, it’s called Age and Experience. I would appreciate all the help I can get to try to win the $500 for Movember.
Congratulations to Storwell for a fun contest and for helping a good cause. Good marketing strategy to tie the contest in to a very worthwhile fundraising campaign and get hundreds of people sharing it in social media and on blogs like this, it will generate very good exposure for them.
Wishing you success in all your endeavours.
