National Parks of Ireland on St.Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick's Day
St. Patrick’s Day

It’s St. Patrick’s Day.

Enough other bloggers, columnists, writers in other media have written about St. Patrick and his day that I will leave it alone.

However, I could not resist sharing this link to 38 exquisite photos of 6 National Parks of Ireland and some of the castles to be found in them.

There is a good mix of mountains and bogs, lakes and seashores, even some with goats one with a horse and another, cattle.

All of breathtaking scenery.

If you look really hard, you might spot a leprechaun.

6 National Parks of Ireland.

Enjoy them and think of Ireland.

What a beautiful photo essay any time of the year. I have been to eleven countries (some two times) in my life; but some how never made it to Ireland. I can tell I have missed a lot. It is both ruggedly handsome and gently beautiful. I was especially taken by Glenveagh National Park. Could see a hint of Sweden’s and/or Norway’s fiords in those pictures.

Thanks for introducing me to such a lovely country.

Neither have I been fortunate enough to visit Ireland. Part of the Eastern Highlands of Rhodesia were very similar to Ireland, one even named “Little Connemara”.
