Two interesting articles on how baby boomers are becoming inceasingly more active on the web caught my attention this week.
In the first, Shannon Proudfoot of Canwest News Service quoted from Statistics Canada that 88 % of boomer internet users and 90% of seniors use e-mail. This is the most popular online activity for both groups, more so than downloading music, playing games or on-line banking.
The second is an article by Jacqueline Burgoa in which she quotes a 2009 study that found the highest rate of entrepreneurial activity is amongst the 55 – 64 age group. Interesting.
