I hope all of you in the USA had an enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday and arrived home safely if you were travelling.
Reading about the fun and games of pepper spraying, stabbings and even a shooting, it sounds as if the malls on Black Friday were more dangerous than Afghanistan. Here is an interesting take on the shopping frenzy by Robert Ringer, it’s worth reading. The OWS – Black Friday Connection
The crowds flocking to buy non-essential and generally shiny, electronic toys do somewhat negate the Occupy Movements’ statements that they had the widespread support they claimed. Consumerism is as alive and well as it has ever been, and all that stuff that’s being bought is produced by corporations.
Just thinking about the crowds made me glad that I did not have to move off my quiet little piece of rural Ontario all weekend.
