How to find Facebook statistics

Many Internet marketers and readers found an earlier post of mine  about the best time to post on Facebook interesting and quite a few have gone on to get more information from the Vitrue site.

A quick way to get some basic  statistics on Facebook users is to go to the bottom of your Facebook page, click on About, this brings  you to Facebook’s own fan page. Click on Press in the left hand menu then click Latest Statistics.

There are a number of other options on the menu to get more information about Facebook.

Just a few snippets of information from that page that I found interesting today:

  • 50% of active users log on daily.
  • Average user connects to 80 pages, groups or events.
  • Over 200 million users access Facebook by mobile device
  • Mobile users twice as active
  • 10 000 new websites integrate with Facebook every day
  • Users spend over 700 billion minutes a month on Facebook

700 billion is too big a number to enter into my calculator, but if my calculations are correct that is the equivalent of 13 318  people spending a year on Facebook 24/7 – every month!

Mind boggling statistics but it drives home the point that as marketers we need to become effective at using social media in our marketing.

One of the most important requirements for creating effective advertising copy and marketing messages of all kinds is to have good writing skills. I recently found this program for improving English writing, it has a free trial option and is worth checking out. Click Here!

Wishing you success in all your endeavours.
